LECHUZA PON Watering Indicator

The LECHUZA PON moisture meter helps you accurately determine when your plant needs watering by providing a reliable indication of the moisture level in the planting substrate.

Thanks to its innovative technology, the indicator detects the moisture level in the substrate and changes color, allowing you to quickly and easily see whether your plant has been sufficiently watered or needs more water. It is suitable for use with all types of planting substrates, including soil, inorganic substrates, and planting mixes. Especially in inorganic substrates such as PON, it provides precise watering indication, helping protect plants from both drought and root rot.

A key practical advantage is that the indicator can remain permanently in the substrate, acting as a daily watering guide. It is suitable for all plants and can be used in both indoor and outdoor environments. In addition, it does not require batteries or any external power source, as it works naturally through its special internal mechanism.

How it works

Using the indicator is very simple: insert it into the substrate at a depth of about 7–8 cm and water the plant. Within 20–30 minutes after the initial placement, the indicator will change color to show the moisture level:

• Blue color: the plant has been sufficiently watered.

• White color: the plant needs watering.

For proper operation, the lower end of the indicator must be fully covered by the substrate, while the upper end should remain visible.

Important note

Do not remove or rotate the indicator to read the display. The measuring rod should remain permanently in the substrate, functioning as a watering indicator thanks to its colored cotton core.

For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace the watering indicator after approximately 9 months of use.
